Losing Mum and Dad to Covid
When Covid-19 first started spreading globally, my biggest fear was losing my loved ones to this deadly virus. Little did I know that my worst nightmare would come true when I lost both my Mum and Dad within weeks of each other.
The pain and grief of losing them has been unimaginable, and it feels like a part of me is missing without them by my side. The suddenness of their passing has left me in shock, and I find myself questioning why this had to happen to my family.
My parents were the pillars of our family, always there to offer love, support, and guidance. Their absence has left a void that can never be filled, and I miss them more than words can express.
Dealing with the loss of both parents to Covid has been a rollercoaster of emotions. From anger and disbelief to overwhelming sadness and despair, it’s been a journey of pain and healing.
I take solace in the memories I have of them, the love they gave me, and the lessons they taught me. Their legacy lives on in me and my siblings, and I will always carry them in my heart.
As the world continues to grapple with the effects of the pandemic, I urge everyone to take precautions, get vaccinated, and not take their loved ones for granted. Losing Mum and Dad to Covid has taught me the fragility of life and the importance of cherishing every moment we have with the ones we love.
Rest in peace, Mum and Dad. You will always be remembered, loved, and missed.
